Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, WI is inviting applications for the part-time, salaried role of Administration & Volunteer Coordinator. Please read the role description below for more information.
Annual salary range: $17,000-$25,000
Typical weekly hours: 25 hours

Objective: To develop relationships with congregational members so that community is built, volunteers are trained and scheduled, and to create or refine administrative systems to support the function of the church.


  • Self-starter, works independently, values confidentiality, well organized, team player
  • Excellent written communication
  • Familiarity with database management; and/or ability to quickly learn various technologies
  • Adept at social media platforms; knowledgeable of Microsoft Suite, Canva




  • Prepare weekly worship slides (Canva)
  • Oversee Trinity website
  • Facilitate communication among members, from Pastors and staff, and within the community using social media, Trinity website, email, and USPS mail
    • Prepare & distribute bimonthly newsletter (Tidings), monthly Council Reports, and Annual Report
    • Schedule, Maintain & Update church and building use calendar
  • Update and oversee membership information database (Tithely)
    • Expand our use of the database
  • Serve as primary contact with tech support, oversee updates, upgrades on computers.
  • Serve as vendor contact in conjunction with the Property Committee.
  • Schedule, track, and report hours for hourly staff.


  • Serve as Office Administrator
    • Maintain regular office hours (TBD)
      • Screen and route calls, emails, & mail
      • Greet and interact with all who stop by the office
    • Monitor and maintain office and worship supplies.
    • Attend staff meetings
  • Serve as Volunteer Coordinator, including but not limited to:
    • Scheduling: weekly worship leaders – ushers, acolytes, assisting ministers, communion assistants; Meals on Wheels & Food Pantry Volunteers (biannual)
    • Create a volunteer appreciation program
    • Help create special interest groups
    • Update, distribute, use and maintain Time & Talent Forms
  • Submit receipts for any expenses incurred and any other expenses requiring reimbursement to church treasurer monthly to maintain accurate financial
  • Communicate with other churches / organizations in the community
